Digital Desk: A video that apparently showed police pulling the hair of Srinivas BV of the Indian Youth Congress surfaced as demonstrations over Sonia Gandhi's Tuesday questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald Case grew more intense. Srinivas was observed being shoved inside the police van in the video that was posted on social media.

Srinivas, who was having trouble exiting the van, yelled at the media, "I got hit." Additionally, it was allegedly captured on tape that some security guards pushed Srinivas BV inside the van. Saying "Aap log kyun maar rahe" The president of the Youth Congress questioned "Why are you hitting me?" to which a member of the RAF responded, "No one is hitting you."

Finally, Srinivas was placed inside the police vehicle and driven away from the protest area. He poked fun at the federal government in a subtweet on Twitter, asking, "What good is democracy if Congress employees in independent India cannot even move outside their party headquarters? Why is the ruler so fearful?

The Delhi Police afterwards declared: "We are attempting to identify the workers." After identification, disciplinary action will be taken against the staff.

The Congress protest, known as a "Satyagraha," is being organised around India in opposition to the party's interim president Sonia Gandhi's interrogation about the National Herald Case.

Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi's son and the head of the Congress, as well as a number of other party lawmakers, were held after congregating at the Vijay Chowk and marching to the Rashtrapati Bhavan to alert the President to the alleged abuse of federal agencies by the Centre. Gandhi and other Congress members are being held at the Kingsway Police detention facility. At first, authorities would not say where Rahul Gandhi was being brought.

Rahul Gandhi claimed, "Modi is a king, India is a police state." He stated, "All (Congress) MPs came here," before being arrested. They discussed unemployment and inflation. We are not able to sit here because of them (the Police). Inside (the Parliament), conversations are prohibited, yet here they are arresting us.
