Digital Desk: Delhi reported 2,726 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday, including six deaths, according to data provided by the health department. Data revealed that in the nation's capital, the positivity rate was 14.38 %. This is the ninth day in a row that the capital has recorded over 2,000 cases in a single day.

The city on Wednesday recorded eight deaths from coronavirus infection, the most in nearly 180 days, and 2,146 cases with a positive rate of 17.83 percent. On February 13, the virus caused 12 deaths in the nation's capital.

On Tuesday, Delhi reported 2,495 coronavirus infections, with a positivity rate of 15.41% and seven fatalities.

On Sunday, the national capital saw 1,372 infections and six deaths, with the case positivity rate reaching 17.85 percent, the highest since January 21. On January 21, the positivity rate stood at 18.04 percent.

According to the latest health bulletin, the new cases on Thursday resulted from 18,960 covid-19 tests. With the additional cases and fatalities, the number of infections in Delhi reached 19,78,266 and the number of fatalities reached 26,357, the report added.
