High-Speed Crash in Guwahati’s Nalapara Leaves Four Injured

The vehicle, bearing registration number AS01DM 9390, was reportedly heading from Lokhra towards Khanapara

Digital Desk: A major road accident occurred late at night in Guwahati’s Nalapara area,  when one Scorpio car apparently lost the control and crashed into a road divider. . The impact was so intense that the vehicle skidded for several meters and overturned multiple times before coming to a halt.

The vehicle, bearing registration number AS01DM 9390, was reportedly heading from Lokhra towards Khanapara. It was carrying three young men and a young woman at the time of the accident.

Eyewitnesses suspect that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, as liquor bottles were found inside the wrecked vehicle. One of the youths was seriously injured and admitted to a private hospital and the woman and two other passengers were taken to GMCH (Gauhati Medicinal College and Hospital).

The vehicle also knocked down a streetlight post on the side of the national highway due to the force of the collision.
