Digital Desk: A disturbing incident emerged in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor as a viral video on social media platforms which showed a group of boys stopping bike and splashing colour on a Muslim family onboard. 

In the video, a group of boys can be seen forcefully applying colours and throwing water at the three persons. The three were passing through the area on their two-wheeler. The boys can also be seen shouting ‘Happy Holi and Jai-Shri Ram’ slogans.



According to the police, the incident happened on Wednesday, March 20, in the Dhampur area of the city.

Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bijnor stated in a statement that the Circle Officer (CO) in charge of the area has been instructed to get in touch with the family and submit a First Information Report (FIR).

"The Bijnor Police has taken cognisance of a video that is going viral on social media. In this viral video, a few men are harassing and forcefully applying colours on a family that was going on a motorcycle. The Bijmor Police is identifying these men with the help of CCTV footage," SSP Bijnor, Neeraj Jaduan, said in a video on X.

"Circle Officer (CO) Dhampur has been instructed to personally reach out to the affected family and file an FIR after receiving a complaint from them and ensure investigation under his supervision...," he added.
