Digital Desk: Dr. Gyanashree Bora has resigned from her government service and announced her return to active politics.Dr Bora was serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Goalpara College, a position she had joined in June 2023. Prior to taking up the teaching role, she was associated with the Raijor Dal, where she served as the party’s spokesperson and also held the post of president of its women’s wing.


Following her resignation from the college, Dr Bora confirmed that she will once again actively participate in politics. Her decision to leave her teaching post has sparked political interest, with indications that she may contest elections as a Raijor Dal candidate from either the Khumtai or Moriani constituency.


Her move marks a significant shift from academia back to the political arena, where she had earlier played a prominent role.
