Digital Desk: The IPL team, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag admitted that his side’s poor fielding proved costly in their five-wicket defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL match on Saturday-25th April.

Despite a sensational innings from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who smashed a 37-ball 103, one of the fastest centuries in IPL history, Rajasthan Royals fell short as they dropped multiple crucial catches on a placid wicket.

Abhishek Sharma, who scored 57, was dropped twice during his innings and shared a 132-run partnership with Ishan Kishan, who made 74. Nitish Kumar Reddy, who contributed 36 runs, also benefitted from a dropped catch when he was on 14.

Parag acknowledged that the missed opportunities in the field ultimately cost his team the match, despite an outstanding batting performance.
