He had been undergoing treatment for a prolonged battle with asthma before breathing his last at approximately 1:30 PM.


A prominent figure in the sports community, Dutta represented Assam in various national tournaments and was a distinguished player for the Assam Police football team.


Following the news of his demise, the Guwahati Sports Association and Dynamo Club paid their last respects, honouring his significant contributions to the sport.
