This is Guwahati Police's second huge drug bust in three days...

Digital Desk: More than 100 kgs of marijuana worth more than Rs 1 crore was discovered in Guwahati, Assam's main city, on Saturday, and two people were arrested in connection, police said. 

This is the Guwahati Police Department's second major drug bust in three days. 

"Acting on a tip-off, a police unit detained a north India bound-truck in Jorabat district of the city and discovered 101 kg of marijuana stashed in the driver's cabin. "Two people were apprehended," stated a senior cop. 

He stated that the goods vehicle was on its way from Tripura. 

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on Twitter,“BIG HAUL! @GuwahatiPol intercepted a truck traveling (travelling) from a neighbouring state at Jorabat and seized 101 kgs of marijuana. Also apprehended two accused. Well done team @assampolice.”
Notably, on Thursday, 320 kgs of ganja, a narcotic drug, were confiscated from a truck, and one person was detained by local police. The contraband was worth Rs 2 crore.
