Digital Desk: A violent scene took place late at night on Saturday in Dhekiajuli wherein an intoxicated young lady got into a rampage at Gopal Store, injuring one of the employees with her razor-sharp nails. This attack left the store employee Parthapratim Gop bleeding.
According to eyewitnesses, the woman arrived at the store with a young man and, under the influence of alcohol, suddenly assaulted the store owner, Brajagopal Kundu, and one of the employees, identified as Parthapratim Gop. The woman scratched them severely, leaving visible wounds. The chaos quickly attracted a crowd, and the situation escalated as the intoxicated woman started hurling abusive words against the police and the onlooking people.
Police arrived promptly and attempted to take the woman and her companion who was with her to the local police station to learn more about the situation. However, the woman kept on making a scene as she was verbally abusing the officers as well as the crowd present and making a ruckus in the locality.
Despite her aggressive resistance, police managed to forcibly escort the woman to the station to restore order. The incident sparked widespread concern among local residents area and and highlighted the challenges faced by law enforcement in handling such volatile situations.
Further investigation is underway, and authorities are looking into the circumstances that led to the attack .The police have said that serious action will be taken against the culprits.
