The defending champions England landed in Guwahati ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup warm-up match...


Digital Desk: The defending champions England landed in Guwahati on Friday ahead of their ICC Cricket World Cup warm-up match against India.


Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, and various members of the coaching/support staff were photographed on their route to the team bus.


In addition, Indian batsman Shubman Gill landed at Guwahati airport around the same time as the England players.


On Saturday, India will face England in a World Cup warm-up match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.


After the warm-up face-off, India will play the Netherlands in their second warm-up match on October 3 in Thiruvananthapuram. 


England's second warm-up game will be against Bangladesh on October 2 in Guwahati.


India will begin their quest for the World Cup against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.


England, on the other hand, will begin their championship contending against New Zealand on October 5 in Ahmedabad, in a rematch of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup final.
