Digital Desk: On Sunday, the eviction drive along the Assam-Nagaland border turned violent. The first phase of the eviction drive was peaceful. However, the second phase turned tense.  As per sources, security forces released several rounds in the air and tossed tear gas shells as citizens opposing the eviction threw stones at them. The individuals, whom the government declares to be encroachers, were peacefully opposing in Lahorijan against the eviction operating by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. However, the problem began as authorities tried to pull down a worship site.
