Faith Meets The End: A Girl From Morigaon Dies During Kedarnath Pilgrimage

She passed away on 4^th May ,barely 500 metres away from the temple shrine

Digital Desk: Tragedy struck a family in Morigaon after a young woman lost her life while on a pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple, Uttarakhand with her friends.

The deceased, identified as Papori Deka of Dalongghat in Morigaon, reportedly fell ill due to breathing complications while travelling to Kedarnath. She died on 4^th May , barely 500 metres away from the temple shrine.

On the morning of 7^th May , her mortal remains were brought back to her residence, casting a deep pall of grief across the entire village.

According to family members, Papori was scheduled to get married in December this year. In a heartbreaking moment, her fiancé, Jyoti Prasad Dutta of Guwahati, performed the customary ritual of applying sindoor to her forehead beside her mortal remains.

Papori Deka was the daughter of Dulal Chandra Bordoloi and Chandimai Bordoloi.
