Officials seized counterfeit medicines, including spurious cough syrups and other unauthorized drugs
Digital Desk: The Nagaon district health authorities conducted a surprise inspection at a pharmacy in Sillongani, Nagaon, following a complaint from the company ‘SunPharma’ regarding the sale of adulterated medicines.
During the raid at Nagaon Medishop pharmacy, near Rahat Hospital , officials seized counterfeit medicines, including spurious cough syrups and other unauthorized drugs. The district drug inspector subsequently sealed the pharmacy.
For questioning, two employees of the pharmacy were taken into custody as the investigation continues.
