Vaibhav Suryavanshi was born in 2011 in Bihar and made history in the IPL as he was signed by Rajasthan Royals at the age of 13 years old at the IPL auction 2022, for 1.1 crores, thus making Vaibhav Suryavanshi the youngest player to ever be auctioned in IPL history.
He made his IPL debut on 19th April 2025, against Lucknow Super Giants, where he smashed a six off his first ever ball and ended unbeaten 34 off 20 balls. Just nine days later, he stunned the sides of the cricketing world, scoring 101 off 38 balls against Gujarat Titans, striking 11 sixes and 7 fours, becoming the youngest T20 and IPL centurion, and recording the second-fastest IPL century and fastest by an Indian.
In just seven matches, Vaibhav has amassed 252 runs at a strike rate of over 206, opening the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Already a first-class centurion and a U-19 standout, Suryavanshi is widely regarded as the next big phenomenon in Indian cricket.
