Sam Curran, a fast bowler, had an outstanding stint that helped the winning team restrict Pakistan to a modest total of 137/8 in 20 overs. Ben Stokes, an all-arounder for England, scored a game-winning half-century during their pursuit of the target to aid in their success. England is the only team to have won both the T20 World Cup and the ODI World Cup at the same time, and they are also the current world champions in ODI cricket after winning the trophy in 2019.

Sam Curran, an all-rounder for England, was named player of the game despite only giving up 12 runs in his four overs while taking three wickets in the game. Due to his impressive economy of 6.52 and 13 wickets in six matches during the event, Curran was also named the player of the competition.
