Digital Desk: Tournament’s leading run-getter Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav have been in the Most Valuable Team of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
The initiative was started by former India captain Kohli, who scored a crucial 82 runs against Pakistan to give his team a thrilling last-ball four-wicket victory. He kept up his form and scored 296 runs including 64 runs against Bangladesh, 62 runs against the Netherlands, and 50 runs against England in the semi-finals.
With 239 runs, Suryakumar is ranked as the third-most successful batter in the tournament. Against (51*) the Netherlands, (68) South Africa, and (61) Zimbabwe, he scored three half-centuries.
The England squad captained by Jos Buttler won the T20 World Cup in 2022 with players from six different countries. The impressive squad includes stars from England, runners-up Pakistan, semifinalists India and New Zealand, along with Zimbabwe and South Africa.
