Digital Desk: Four individuals were arrested in Singlou Pathar Tongiya village, located in the Charaideo district near the Assam-Nagaland border, along with four handmade firearms.


The arrested individuals have been identified as Chinna Tanti, Ajay Tanti, Chukkhra Munda, and Suresh Tanti, all residents of Tongiya village.


During a special operation conducted by the Charaideo CRPF NEZ QAT 2 unit, the authorities confiscated four handmade firearms and animals tusks from the notorious poachers.


These individuals have long been accused of instilling fear through illegal wildlife hunting in the Abhaypur Reserved Forest.


The arrested poachers are currently being interrogated by the police at the Sonari Police Station as investigations are underway.
