Digital Desk: The Four cricketers from Assam; Amit Sinha, Ishan Ahmed, Aman Tripathi, and Abhishek Thakur, are under investigation for alleged match-fixing and could be arrested at any moment, authorities said.

The Crime Branch has issued notices to the 4th accused for the second  time. Earlier, the Assam Police had summoned them to appear before the Crime Branch, but the players failed to respond to the notices.

A case (12/25) has been registered against the four cricketers by the Guwahati Crime Branch under sections 316, 318, and 68 of the BNS Act, based on a complaint filed by the Assam Cricket Association (ACA). The complaint alleged that the players attempted to influence certain participants during the Mustaq Ali Trophy, prompting the ACA to suspend the four players for corruption-related charges.

After the case was registered, all four accused reportedly left Assam, evading law enforcement. The Crime Branch is actively searching for them, and authorities have stated that the players will be arrested immediately once their locations are traced.

Investigations are ongoing as the state’s law enforcement agencies continue to pursue the accused to ensure accountability and uphold the integrity of cricket in Assam.
