Identified as Amir Hamza, Meena Jahan, Sakura Begaum, and Onara Begum, they were intercepted while traveling by train from Assam to New Delhi on March 27.

According to the ATS statement, the individuals confessed to being Myanmar natives who had unlawfully crossed into India to settle here. Additionally, fake Indian documents were seized from them during the arrest at the ATS headquarters in Lucknow.

The ATS has charged them under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 420 (cheating), 467 (Forgery of documents), 468 (forgery for cheating), and 471 (using as genuine a forged document).

This incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by illegal immigration and the need for robust enforcement measures to ensure national security and integrity.
