If you want to get a new gas connection, you'll think twice about it this time. The petroleum department raises the gasoline prices.

Digital Desk: The cost of new domestic gas connections has been raised by petroleum companies. Previously, a gas cylinder connection cost was Rs 1,450. However, it has now been increased by Rs 750. As a result, you must now pay Rs—2200 for it.

Petroleum companies have raised the price of 14.2 kg gas cylinders by Rs 750 per cylinder. A two-cylinder connection will cost you an additional Rs. 1500. That means you'll have to pay Rs 4400 as security. Previously, you had to pay Rs 2900 for it. The change will take effect on June 16.

Similarly, instead of Rs 150, you will have to pay Rs 250 for the regulator. The security per 5 kg cylinder has been increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1,150, according to information provided by Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana customers, the central government's ambitious scheme, will also be surprised by the new rates. Customers who want to double their Ujjwala Yojana gas connection must deposit the increased security amount for the second cylinder. However, anyone who receives a new link will retain the cylinder's security.

Customers must pay Rs 25 for the passbook that comes with a new gas connection and Rs 150 for the pipe.

Typically, the price of the new link includes all such costs. Customers must, however, pay an additional fee to obtain a stove with a gas cylinder.
