Digital Desk: Gaurav Gogoi, president of the Pradesh Congress and deputy leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, has written a letter to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

In his letter, he requested the Assam government to exempt the dream project of Zubeen Garg from taxes.

Roi Roi Binale, starring Assam's beloved singer Zubeen Garg, is set to be released on October 31 across the nation.

Gogoi stated that Roi Roi Binale is the final film in which Zubeen Garg has acted and composed music during his lifetime. Therefore, it has created immense anticipation among the people of Assam, who are eager to watch the film.

Gogoi emphasized that making the film tax-free would ensure accessibility for people from all walks of life, enabling them to watch it without financial constraints.

He further stated that such a gesture would honour the singer's sincere efforts to contribute to Assam's cultural heritage throughout his life and make it easier for audiences across the state to experience his work.

Additionally, the Pradesh Congress president has urged all District Congress, Block Congress, and Mandal Congress committee presidents to encourage local residents in their respective areas to pay their respects for Zubeen Garg's legacy by supporting the film.
