Digital Desk: A tenth-grade student at Kasturba Gandhi Girls' School in Goroimari, South Kamrup, was reportedly overwhelmed by the mental harassment inflicted by her teacher. Unable to endure the alleged abuse caused by the teacher, the student attempted to take her own life.
Allegations have been raised against the teacher, Runjun Bora, for subjecting several girl students to prolonged mental and physical harassment.
On August 23, at around 7 pm, teacher Runjun Bora allegedly abused a tenth-grade student using obscene language and attempted physical assault. As a result, the student fainted out of fear due to the teacher's aggressive behaviour.
After the student regained consciousness, the teacher reportedly tried to attack her again, which prompted the terrified student to lock herself in the bathroom and attempt suicide.
Further accusations have surfaced that the teacher has also misbehaved with the school superintendent and principal on several occasions.
Additionally, allegations suggest that teacher Runjun Bora disrupted the academic environment by forcing students to perform personal tasks.
In the past, there have been similar complaints against her for subjecting other students to physical and mental abuse.
