Digital Desk: The cinema halls across Assam are bustling with audiences as people eagerly gather to watch Zubeen Garg's dream project Roi Roi Binale, undeterred by the torrential rain sweeping in the state.
Amidst this emotional moment, Zubeen Garg's paternal uncle, Manoj Borthakur, watched the film with a heavy heart.
A senior journalist and a close family member, Manoj Borthakur became visibly emotional as he witnessed the final cinematic work of the iconic singer.
Borthakur, along with the singer's wife, Garima Saikia Garg and sister, Palmee Borthakur, had previously filed an FIR with the Assam Police, urging a thorough probe into Zubeen Garg's untimely death.
In a heartfelt interview, Manoj Borthakur expressed his sentiments, saying, "The new generation must carry forward Goldie's legacy. His hands may no longer create melodies on the harmonium and keyboard, but his spirit lives on."
He further stated, "As Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized, we too support the call for justice. Goldie deserves justice, and we have complete faith in the judiciary. We trust that justice will prevail."
