Guwahati: On Wednesday, the Assam government appointed Pallav Gopal Jha as the new Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup Metropolitan (DC).
Keeping the public interest in the concern, the Assam Government's Personnel (Personnel-A) Department took a major administrational change.
As per sources, around 26 top bureaucrats of Assam, including secretaries, deputy commissioners, and other top administrators, have been reshuffled.
Biswajit Pegu, who served as the DC of Kamprup Metro got transferred and posted in Dibrugarh. In parallel, Pallav Jha, who was posted in Dibrugarh, has been moved to Kamprup Metro.

Additionally, Paul Baruah DC, Dima Hasao has been posted as new DC, Charaideo. Deba Kumar Mishra, PPS to the chief minister and MD, Assam Tourism Development Corporation, got posted as DC in Biswanath district.
Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, took over his charge as Deputy Commissioner in Dibrugarh on January 17, 2019. During his serving period as DC in Dibrugarh, he has worked for several outgrowth projects and developmental schemes for the district.
Jha has also worked as the Deputy Commissioner of Sivsagar district before joining as a DC, Dibrugarh.
