Digital Desk:  A DJ was hired by the 119-year-old man's family to commemorate his final voyage on Saturday. In the cemetery, funeral ceremonies were carried out through energetic dance.

Deben Hazra passed away on Saturday. He was a joyous individual who enjoyed music and visited all the local villages to take in performances and yatras. The grandchildren planned for a DJ and music to play during the funeral procession on Sunday in order to honour their grandfather's final request. Even the grandchildren and neighbours participated in the final rites by swaying to the beat of the DJs without crying. In Paduipara of Kumra Gram Panchayat of North 24 Pargana's Habra Police Station, such an odd scene was observed.

The family claims that Deben Hazra was born in 1903. He has three daughters and two boys. About 150 grandchildren belong to Deben. He used to laugh and joke around with the grandchildren for the majority of the day. Even a week before he passed away, he led the grandchildren in kirtan. However, due to age-related illnesses, he became unwell and passed away on Saturday night. The entire town travelled with Deben Hazra on his final voyage. Everyone could be seen swaying to the DJ's music.
