Digital Desk: Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati on Sunday. The minister was accompanied by the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa sarma. He is on a three-day visit to the Northeast. 

This afternoon, Shah will be present at the North Eastern Council (NEC) Plenary Session.

Moreover, the Union Home minister will then visit Dergaon in Golaghat district later today to inaugurate the two-day conference of the superintendents of police to be held at the Police Training College.

The conference will take place in the Police Training College's freshly built police conference room.

It is to be noted that Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated the newly constructed BJP office in Guwahati.
