Digital Desk: A 29-year-old woman identified as Sahiba Rahman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her Bishnu Jyoti Path, Hatigaon residence in Guwahati on Wednesday morning.
The investing officer said that the body was pulled down by the family members before the police team arrived at the scene. Though initial investigation suggested that it was a suicide, the body was recovered and sent for postmortem at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The officer added that an investigation is underway regarding the case and will provide further details once the probe is completed. A CID team and a forensic science laboratory team were also present at the scene.
As per reports, Sahiba Rahman, along with her mother, owned a restaurant in Hatigaon, Guwahati.
