A heavy rain warning has also been issued for Gujarat, Goa, and portions of Maharashtra from July 24 to July 26

Digital Desk: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced a red and orange alert in numerous locations due to unfavourable meteorological conditions as unseasonably heavy rains and unpredictable weather remain in numerous states throughout the nation.

For the following four days, especially until July 26, several states are predicted to see significant rains, according to the most recent IMD update. More landslides are also anticipated in Himachal Pradesh and other landslide regions of the nation due to this recent rainfall.

Light to moderate rainfall is predicted for parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on July 24 and July 25, according to the IMD update. In addition, the prediction forecasts that till July 26, light rainfall will fall in Chandigarh and Haryana.

Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are anticipated to get similar rainfall starting on July 24. Even though the Yamuna river level in the nation's capital has already been beyond the danger level, no rain has yet been forecast for Delhi NCR for this week.

A heavy rain warning has also been issued for Gujarat, Goa, and portions of Maharashtra from July 24 to July 26. An orange alert has been issued in Mumbai, Maharashtra, for the upcoming three days due to isolated heavy rainfall.

Due to the expected heavy rain and thunderstorms, a red alert has been issued in Gujarat and Maharashtra for the next few days, and an orange alert has been issued in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Goa, and Kerala.

IMD stated in a statement, “Light/moderate fairly widespread rainfall likely over the region. Isolated heavy rainfall over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during July 22 and 26; over Assam and Meghalaya during July 22-24 and 26 and over Arunachal Pradesh during July 22-24.”
