Dhankhar had warned the AAP member after constantly pushing AAP members to take their seats...

Digital Desk: AAP member Sanjay Singh was suspended from Rajya Sabha on Monday for the rest of the monsoon session of Parliament for "repeatedly violating directions of the Chair." Leader of the House and Union Minister Piyush Goyal made the motion to suspend Sanjay Singh.

Sanjay Singh was suspended "for repeatedly violating the Chair's directive," Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar stated when asking the House to approve the motion.

During a protest by the opposition in the House about the Manipur issue, the AAP MP was suspended for the remainder of the Monsoon session.
Sanjay Singh was warned by Dhankhar last week that he would be forced to disclose the AAP member after he repeatedly criticized the proposed bill to replace the Centre's ordinance for control over services in Delhi.

Dhankhar had warned the AAP member after constantly pushing AAP members to take their seats.

AAP is one of the opposition parties that has called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the situation in Manipur in Parliament and to have a thorough discussion of the subject. The government had stated that it is willing to talk about the circumstances in Manipur.

Parliament's Monsoon session started on July 20 and will last till August 11.
