Digital Desk: In a tragic incident, a helicopter operated by Aryan Aviation crashed in Uttarakhand's Gaurikund forest area early Sunday morning, claiming the lives of all seven passengers on board, including the pilot.

The helicopter was en route from Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi, marking the fifth helicopter crash in Uttarakhand in just six weeks.

Among the victims was a family from Yavatmal of Maharashtra - a couple and their two-year-old daughter lost their lives tragically, while their son was spared as he had stayed back with his grandmother.

The helicopter had taken off at 5:17 AM from Kedarnath, but severe weather conditions in the valley caused it to veer off course, leading to the crash.

The victims have been identified as - Captain Rajbir Singh Chauhan (39), a resident of Jaipur, Vikram Rawat (47), an employee of the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), Vinod Devi (66), Trishti Singh (19), both residents of Uttar Pradesh, Rajkumar Suresh Jaiswal (41), Shraddha Jaiswal, and Kashi Rajkumar Jaiswal (2), residents of Maharashtra.
