Mumbai Police successfully tracked down an MBA holder responsible for making a threatening call...

Digital Desk: In a recent development, Mumbai Police successfully tracked down an MBA holder responsible for making a threatening call to veteran industrialist and former Tata Sons chairman, Ratan Tata.

The anonymous caller revealed to be suffering from schizophrenia, urged the police to enhance Tata's security, cautioning that he would face a fate similar to former chairman Cyrus Mistry.

Promptly responding to the call, Mumbai Police initiated heightened security measures for Ratan Tata and launched a dedicated team to investigate the matter. Through technical support and collaboration with a telecom service provider, the police traced the caller to Karnataka, discovering he was a resident of Pune.

Upon reaching the caller's residence, the police learned that he had been missing for five days, prompting his wife to file a complaint.

Further inquiries revealed that the individual had schizophrenia and had taken the phone used to make the threat without the owner's knowledge.

Despite the severity of the threat, the police, upon understanding the caller's mental health condition, decided against pursuing legal action. The caller, an MBA holder with a background in finance and engineering, underscored the importance of addressing mental health concerns within society, even in the context of criminal incidents.
