Rain has caused major damage to the Mandi district's Panchayat "Manthla" of Sadar Vidhansabha. Flash floods produced by excessive rain during the night have seriously destroyed a natural water supply as well as the Manthala Panchayat's community hall.

Digital Desk: It has poured nonstop for the past 24 hours, inflicting major damage in various areas of the Mandi district. Roads have been closed in various places at the same time. A sudden flood carried away many vehicles in the Mandi district's Janjehli.

Meanwhile, the IMD Himachal Pradesh has issued a flash flood warning for the next 24 hours, until 1:00 p.m. on June 26. A moderate to high risk is forecast in a few watersheds and areas in the Himachal Pradesh districts of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Shimla, Sirmaur, and Mandi.

Several landslides have been recorded throughout the district, putting numerous homes downstream at risk.

Overnight rainfall in the hills has elevated the water level of the Beas River, which passes through Mandi.

The rooms of the community hall were cluttered with stones and other rubbish.

Anil Sharma, an MLA from Sadar, arrived on the ground to speak with the victims and examine the situation. The MLA has directed the Jal Shakti Department, which includes the Administration and PWD, to provide relief and road restoration.


Mandi has received 64.4 millimetres of rain in the last 24 hours.

Other states have also been impacted by heavy rain. Several automobiles were washed away in the Kullu district. The Maohal rivulet swept away eight vehicles near Kullu town.

According to the District Emergency Operation Centre (DEOC) in Chamba, a vehicle accident occurred on the Khadamukh-Holi vehicle at Place Khadamukh. As a result of this occurrence, one car fell into the NHPC-II dam. It is unknown how many individuals travelled. The search and rescue effort is being led by Police Team Bharmour.

A cloud burst happened in Arki's Mahaal Mangal Kathpol subdivision, according to DEOC Solan. This tragedy cost the lives of 30-35 goats. A search and rescue mission is now underway.
