Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tops the list of CM in managing the second wave of Covid-19 according to a survey conducted by India today.

He tops the list in BJP ruled states with UP CM Yogi Adityantath stands with him at 29 percent rating in the survey.

Assam hasn’t been under complete lockdown since the second wave started in April as CM Sarma chose the Partial lockdown and micro containment zone way throughout the second wave.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik was placed in the second position while Jharkhand CM  Hemant Soren was placed in the third place in the survey.

While speaking to the media CM Sarma said, “I don’t want to comment on this. We don’t know what the situation will be like tomorrow, I pray to the almighty that COVID should go away soon."

CM Sarma topped the survey just after 3 months of taking charge of the CM Position as he took the oath of office on 10th May 2021.
