Digital Desk: In the Chhattisgarh Durg district, a married man killed his live-in partner by strangling her after she allegedly forced him to marry her. Police arrested the accused person, who was later identified as Durga Dhritlahare.
He admitted to police during questioning that Vedmati Verma, a 46-year-old lady, wanted him to leave his wife and kids and marry her. This was a topic on which they used to argue frequently, and one rage-filled day he decided to kill her.
Vedmati Verma was discovered dead at her residence with a nylon rope around her neck.
Vedmati was divorced, and her kids were married, according to preliminary research. She used to live alone and worked in Jamul for a private company.
According to the police, Vedmati was dating Durga Dhritlahare, a security guard employed at the same company. Even though Durga was already married and had a family, they had been spending the past few days at Vedmati's house.
Durga was taken into custody and while being questioned, he admitted to the crime.
Durga has been detained and sent to jail.
