While addressing the media, Akhil Gogoi made it clear that no such decisions have been taken to join AAP. He said that all these are nothing but mere political speculations.


Digital Desk: News in the mainstream media and across various social media platforms is making the round that Raijor Dol President Akhil Gogoi will join Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) soon. 

 

Various reactions were observed after the news was aired. People were shocked, and some commented that they were aware of this decision. However, some were happy and stated that AAP needs people like Akhil Gogoi to help them attain a respectable position in the state. 

 

Talking to the Editor of Prag News Digital, Jitumoni Bora, President of Raijor Dol, Akhil Gogoi, informed that the news is untrue and he has no plans of joining AAP and denied the speculations made. Working President of Raijor Dol, Bhasko D Saikia, while talking to the editor said that all these are just rumors being spread to divert real issues like the Covid essentials scam. He added that the real issues that matter are turned a blind eye, and all the efforts are being made to sidetrack the matter.

 

While addressing the media, Akhil Gogoi made it clear that no such decisions have been taken to join AAP. He said that all these are nothing but mere political speculations. “I have no plan of leaving Raijor Dol, and Raijor Dol is people’s party, so if any such decisions are to be taken, people will come to know first,” Gogoi stated.

 

Gogoi confessed that he has a very cordial relationship with Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia of AAP. “When I was in jail, he said they were in touch with me. But I had never thought of joining AAP. I am always with the opposition parties who are against the BJP and RSS,” he added.
