New Delhi: The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Delhi ranked higher than several stalwarts universities in Times Employability Rankings. IIT Delhi has been listed with the rank 27 on Times Higher Education global employability ranking. 

The list showed that IIT Delhi graduates are one of the most employable in the world. 

This year, the institute beat renowned establishments like the University of California Berkeley (32) and the University of Chicago (33).

The other institutes that made it to the top 100 are the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru (61) and IIT Bombay (97). Both these institutes have increased their ranking as compared to last year rankings.

IIT Delhi ranks among the to 50 institutes in employability ranking. V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT-Delhi, stated that this accomplishment is achievable beacuse of the exhaustive nature of students at IITs.

“The data that Times Higher Education has used is based on the employer’s study. It also discourses volumes of the kind of precision that IIT students go through and their capacity to determine and adjust into any circumstances,” Rao informed the media. 

In September, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay also ranked in the 101-110 bracket in QS Graduate Employability Rankings.

IIT Delhi and Bombay have featured among the top 150 institutes in the QS rankings as well. Both institutions have upgraded their ranking as compared to their rankings in 2020.
