Digital Desk: India has named two sets of teams for the upcoming series against Australia, with KL Rahul leading the team in the first two ODIs. R Ashwin returns to the ODI squad for the first time since 2022 and will be part of the team for the entirety of the series.

India will use their World Cup lineup for the final ODI, with Rohit Sharma returning as captain.

Washington Sundar, who was called up for the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka due to Axar Patel's injury, will be in the squad for the first two games. As Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya have been rested, Ravindra Jadeja will be Rahul's deputy in the first two matches.

Ishan Kishan has been in excellent form and will be hoping to extend that into the series against Australia, who just lost their ODI series to South Africa by a score of 2-3. Kishan has recently excelled in the middle order and will play in all three matches against Australia.

Kuldeep Yadav, who was named Asia Cup 2023 Player of the Series, has been rested for the first two games.

India will be full of confidence after defeating Sri Lanka by ten wickets in the Asia Cup final. Mohammed Siraj was named Player of the Match after thrashing the opponents for six wickets. Following his stint, India bowled the hosts out for 50, and they chased down the mark with 273 balls to spare.

The three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) between India and Australia will be held on September 22, 24, and 27 in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot, respectively.
