Before an expensive 18th over from Rashi Kanojiya, a debutant for Bangladesh, Shamima Sultana kept the innings together with a solid 42. When she dismissed opener Shathi Rani and Dilara Akter in her first two overs, Minnu Mani gave IND W a perfect start to the innings. Shamima and Nigar Sultana kept Bangladesh's momentum going as they put up a 46-run partnership before Devika Vaidya broke the stand by removing the BAN-W captain. In the opening innings, Bangladesh Women's team restricted India Women's team to 102/9 in 20 overs, with Rabeya Khan taking 3/16.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of IND Women, led the team in scoring with 45, helped by Jemimah Rodrigies' solid hit of 28. Apart from them, the Indian batting collapsed, leaving Bangladesh score 103 to win.
