Digital Desk: India has taken the lead in the three-match T20I series after easily defeating the Blackcaps in the second T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Indian bowlers started their 192-run innings with some outstanding bowling. The middle overs saw wickets go to the spinners as Bhuvneshwar Kumar swung the new ball. Jimmy Neesham and Glenn Philips, two dangerous batsmen, were outspun by Chahal's accurate bowling. Sundar's first game back from the injury was challenging.

Despite picking up the wicket of Devon Conway, the off-spinner gave up 24 runs in his two innings. While Deepak Hooda didn't help with the bat, he did have a successful spell, taking 4 for 10 runs. In the 19th over, he took three wickets to end the innings. Williamson got 50 even though he struggled the entire game, but this might be the game that gets him back on track.
