IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta complimented his staff on their efforts and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to help save a life.


Digital Desk: Last Monday, IndiGo, a low-cost carrier, successfully carried a live organ – a donated heart – from Vadodara to Mumbai in just 2.5 hours.

Team IndiGo successfully transported a live heart from a Vadodara operating theatre to Global Hospitals in Mumbai in two hours and twenty-two minutes, well inside the three-hour time restriction for live organ transport.

IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta complimented his staff on their efforts and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to help save a life.

"We are honoured to assist Global Hospitals' staff in getting the live organ (heart) to the recipient on time and in a safe and efficient manner. Every life is valuable, and IndiGo is grateful for the chance to have helped save one. I'd also like to thank our Vadodara and Mumbai airport workers, as well as crew members, for their efforts "IndiGo's CEO stated.

Global Hospitals expressed its gratitude to Team IndiGo for successfully completing the important transport in a statement.
