San Francisco: On Wednesday, Facebook owned Instagram announced that a new feature of co-authoring posts-old will soon be launched on its platform. The name of this brand new feature will be known as ‘Collab’ feature.

According to a report, the tech giant has stated that this will allow users of this social media platform to be joint authors of its feed and reel posts-old.

Any post which will be co-authored will jointly appear in the accounts of both the users. It will also jointly appear to its followers. Besides, the users will receive the same comment thread, and get the same likes and views count.

In a statement, the company has said that this collaborating feature will play a huge role in how people connect to each other on social media.

In addition to this, Facebook is also testing another feature that would allow users to cross-post their updates, including photos and videos. It is being globally tested at the moment and the option is available to only a small bunch of users who has their accounts linked to their personal, business or creator accounts.
