Digital Desk: A confrontation in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, involving Assam Rifles, Arunachal Pradesh Police, and the United Liberation Front of Assam-I (ULFA-I), resulted in the death of two ULFA (I) cadres.


The encounter occurred on Wednesday morning at 6th Mile during a gunfight between Assam Rifles and a seven-member ULFA (I) group.


The ULFA (I) group was allegedly involved in an attack on the Kakopathar Army Camp.


Authorities identified the deceased cadres as Banjit, a resident of Ritu Kathalguri in Tinsukia, and Konti, also known as Abhikesh Moran, a resident of Kardoiguri, Tinsukia.


Security forces have recovered HK rifles, grenades, an RPG-7 cell, and bags from the cadres.
