Digital Desk: Four hour-long Raids have been conducted at the premises of Piyush Jain.
Piyush Jain is a Kanpur-based businessman and has a good connection with the ‘Atarr’ industry of Kanpur.
The raid was initiated by Goods and Service Tax(GST) officials for tax eluding charges upon the businessman, after a while the IT and Income Tax department also rushed to the spot and unearthed shocking details.
The team has recovered Rs.150 Crore cash so far.
The IT department has shared some photographs in which it is visible where huge bundles of cash are stuffed in two large wardrobes. In each photo, there are over 30 such bundles visible.
In another photograph, IT and GST officials seem to be busy counting piles of cash with the help of three-note counting machines.
The total sum of money recovered is still being counted.
The raids began on Thursday and are still going on, sources said.
