Jorhat: Owing to the spike in covid cases in Jorhat even after the implementation of mini lockdown, the district administration has issued a new direction for the grocery shops and street vendors on Sunday.

The administration has ordered all grocery shops shall remain closed on 12 and 13 July respectively. Vegetable and fruit vendors are not allowed to carry on their business on the mentioned dates as ordered by the district administration of Jorhat.

The order comes into immediate effect. The decision was taken to control the spike in covid cases in the district.
