Digital Desk: The Junior Hockey World Cup is set to take place in Tamil Nadu starting November 28.
Ahead of the tournament, the Junior Hockey World Cup Trophy is being showcased across various parts of the country.
Yesterday, a team from the organising committee representing the Indian team arrived at Zubeen Kshetra with the trophy.
Weighing 16 kilograms and crafted from gold, the trophy was prominently displayed during the visit. India is scheduled to compete in the Junior Hockey World Cup.
Interestingly, this tournament was initially planned to be held in Assam in 2021, with a theme song featuring the voice of Assam's beloved cultural artist Zubeen Garg.
Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a symbolic gesture, the organising committee visited Zubeen Kshetra to seek Zubeen Garg's blessings for the upcoming competition on behalf of the Indian team.
