Digital Desk: On the final day of the 97th Barpeta Road Sarbajanin Raas Mahotsav, the late legendary artist Zubeen Garg was originally scheduled to perform. In his absence, Bollywood playback singer Kunal Ganjawala took the stage and delivered a memorable musical evening that enthralled the audience until late into the night.


 The atmosphere turned deeply emotional when Ganjawala remembered “Heartthrob Zubeen Garg” and paid tribute by singing the iconic “Mayabini.” In an interview with the media, he expressed that he was deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Zubeen Garg and said that from this day onward, every cultural event he performs at in Assam will be dedicated to Zubeen Garg.


Ganjawala sang Hindi, Bengali and Assamese songs throughout the evening and enthralled the audience keeping them entertained until the early hours. He also conveyed his condolences to Zubeen Garg’s family during an informal conversation with Prag News.
