Guwahati: The Kamrup Metropolitan District of Assam has been conferred with the SKOCH GOLD award for a project related to the pandemic.

Kamrup Metro administration presented a project of the district called 'Response Towards COVID-19'. The project received much recognition and honor. 

Assam Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Information Technology, Science and Technology, Keshab Mahanta, shared this information through his Twitter handle.

The tweet read, "It's a matter of great pride and honor for us as the Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration has been conferred with SKOCH GOLD award for its Response to #COVID19. This prestigious award would be an inspiration to others in this critical time."

Health Minister Keshab Mahanta further added, "Congratulations & gratitude to #KamrupMetro DC, ADC Health, ADC Vaccination, Health dept. officials, Doctors, Nurses, Frontline, Asha & Anganwadi Workers, MPW, Surveillance workers, Ambulance staff & Police Admin for their hardwork & dedication in this pandemic situation."

SKOCH Award instituted in 2003 recognizes individuals, projects, and organizations that go the extra mile to create India into a better nation.
