Digital Desk: In the first three months of the 2025-26 tourism year, Kaziranga National Park has witnessed an increase in foreign tourist arrivals.
Nearly seven thousand visitors from Europe, Germany, and Russia explored the park during this period.
However, the overall number of tourists in the ongoing tourism year had declined until December.
Despite this, the rise in visitors since mid-December has sparked optimism within the tourism sector.
According to Forest Department sources, the total number of tourists for the 2025-26 tourism year, which began at the end of last September, has reached nearly 1.5 lakh.
Encouragingly, no rhinoceros poaching incidents have been reported in the national park so far this year, marking a positive development.
National park authorities remain hopeful about a further increase in tourist numbers in the coming months, starting from January.
