Digital Desk: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has praised India as "khuddar quam" (very self-respecting people), saying that no superpower can dictate the rules to the nearby nation while admitting that both New Delhi and Islamabad do not have a good relationship. The former cricketer focused most of his nearly 50-minute speech on his allegations of a "foreign conspiracy" on Friday.
Despite Imran Khan's frantic efforts to avoid voting on the no-confidence motion, the National Assembly will today decide the premier's fate.

"The Indians are khuddar quam (very self-respecting people). No superpower can dictate the rules to India," he said in his national address on Friday, on the eve of a contentious no-confidence vote that appears certain to dismiss him.

"I am disappointed in the Supreme Court's decision. I was upset because the Supreme Court should have looked into it when the Deputy Speaker conducted the investigation," Imran Khan said.
Further, questioned about the "rampant horse-trading in the opposition camp, Imran Khan said, "Which country's democracy allows these kinds of acts?"
"I am displeased that these things are taking place openly; I have never seen anything like this happen in a Western democracy. I've never seen anyone sell their soul before. The Supreme Court should take up such activities on its own initiative," Imran Khan added.
