Digital Desk: A horrific attempted kidnapping incident unfolded in Rukmini Nagar, Guwahati, where miscreants targeted a schoolgirl in broad daylight.
The culprits, riding a bike, attempted to render the girl unconscious using a spray.
The entire scene was captured on CCTV, which also revealed a black-coloured four-wheeler accompanying the perpetrators.
Despite their attempt, the brave girl managed to escape.
She ran from the spot and screamed for help, which ultimately thwarted the kidnapping attempt.
Alarmed by her screams, the miscreants fled the scene immediately.
The victim, an 8th-grade student of Hindustan Central School, was returning home after completing her school exam when the incident occurred.
Dispur police promptly arrived at the scene and have launched an investigation into the matter.
